Overview
PrescriberNow LLC ("PrescriberNow") charges a Telehealth Evaluation Fee (also called the "intake fee") of $49.99 to $59.99 per intake, depending on the program selected. This fee compensates the independent licensed clinician for reviewing your intake and exercising clinical judgment. This Refund Policy explains when that fee is and is not refundable, and how to request a refund.
This policy supplements the Refunds & Cancellations section of our Terms of Use. If there is any conflict, this Refund Policy controls with respect to refund mechanics.
Telehealth Evaluation Fee — non-refundable once reviewed
You are not entitled to a refund of the Telehealth Evaluation Fee in the following circumstances:
- A clinician reviewed your case and declined to prescribe (for example, due to a contraindication, safety concern, or because your situation requires in-person care).
- A clinician reviewed your case and prescribed a medication that you later decided you did not want, or that you found cheaper elsewhere.
- You changed your mind after the clinician completed review.
- The pharmacy you selected was out of stock, charged more than you expected, or was otherwise unable to fulfill the prescription (this is a pharmacy issue — see below).
- The medication did not produce the result you hoped for.
When a refund is issued
Courtesy refunds. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a courtesy refund in circumstances outside this policy. A courtesy refund in one case does not waive this policy or create an entitlement in any other case.
We will issue a refund of the Telehealth Evaluation Fee in any of the following circumstances:
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Technical error prevents review. A platform error, data loss, outage, or routing failure on our side prevents a clinician from completing review of your intake. | Full refund |
| No clinician review occurred. No clinician has reviewed your intake (for example, you cancelled before review began, or your intake was never assigned). | Full refund |
| Duplicate charge. You were charged more than once for the same intake. | Refund of duplicates |
| Fraudulent or unauthorized charge. The card was used without your authorization and you can demonstrate this to our satisfaction (we will also work with the card network to investigate). | Full refund |
Pharmacy charges — not handled by PrescriberNow
If your clinician writes a prescription, the cost of the medication itself is paid by you directly to the dispensing pharmacy at the pharmacy's cash price. PrescriberNow does not collect, set, or guarantee pharmacy prices, and we cannot refund pharmacy charges.
If you have an issue with a pharmacy charge — for example, the price was higher than you expected, the medication was out of stock, the pharmacy did not fill the prescription, or the medication was defective — please contact the pharmacy directly. Pharmacies are independent businesses and handle their own refunds and complaints according to their own policies and applicable state pharmacy law.
Pharmacy partner membership subscriptions
This section applies only to pharmacies that join the PrescriberNow network — not to patients. Partner pharmacies start with a 14-day free trial. The payment method placed on file at signup is securely tokenized but not charged during the trial. After the trial, membership is $49.00 per month, charged automatically until cancelled.
- Cancel during the free trial: you are not charged at all.
- Cancel after the trial: billing stops at the end of the then-current monthly period; membership fees already charged are non-refundable, and we do not prorate or refund partial months.
Pharmacies can cancel at any time from the pharmacy portal or by emailing team@prescribernow.com. The complete membership and billing terms appear in the Pharmacy Participation & Services Agreement that the pharmacy signs at signup, which controls in the event of any conflict.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, email us at team@prescribernow.com with the subject line "Refund request" and include:
- Your full name and the email address used on the intake.
- Your intake ID, order number, or the date you submitted the intake.
- The reason for the refund request (please choose one of the situations above where possible).
- Any supporting information (for example, a screenshot of a duplicate charge or an error message).
You may also call us at 866-511-8337 during business hours. Email is preferred so that we have a written record.
Processing time
Once a refund is approved, we issue it to the original payment method. Refunds are typically processed by our payment processor (Authorize.Net) within five (5) to ten (10) business days of approval. The actual time for the refund to appear in your account depends on your card-issuing bank and is outside our control.
We will acknowledge refund requests by email within five (5) business days. If we need more information or time to investigate, we will let you know.
Chargebacks
If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us first — we want to resolve the issue directly. Initiating a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us delays resolution and may result in us suspending your account pending investigation. If we determine the charge was legitimate, we will respond to the chargeback with documentation of the clinician's review.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your intake controls that intake's refund eligibility.
