The three-step journey
Most patients go from submission to prescription in a few hours. No phone tag, no waiting room, no surprises.
Start your visit & submit intake
Tell us what you need. Our intake form walks you through your symptoms, medical history, current medications, and any relevant photos or files. Everything you submit is transmitted using TLS 1.3 encryption and stored in a HIPAA-compliant environment — never shared with advertisers or third parties.
You can complete intake on any device, any time. There is no scheduling required. The form typically takes five to ten minutes for most conditions. If your condition requires a synchronous video visit rather than asynchronous review, we will let you know before you pay anything.
A licensed provider reviews & prescribes
A board-certified, state-licensed provider on our network reviews your intake asynchronously — meaning on their schedule, not yours. They read your history, assess clinical appropriateness, and either issue an e-prescription, request a follow-up question, or decline and explain why. Our providers can and do decline requests that don't meet clinical criteria.
Every provider on PrescriberNow holds active, unrestricted licenses in the state(s) where they practice, carries individual malpractice coverage, and is board-certified or board-eligible in their specialty. Credentials are verified at onboarding and checked annually. Provider compensation is not tied to prescription volume.
During business hours most visits are reviewed within approximately one hour. Response times may be longer overnight or on holidays, and you will always see an estimate before submitting.
Your local partner pharmacy fills it
When your provider approves a prescription, it is sent electronically to the partner pharmacy you selected — or to any licensed U.S. pharmacy of your choice. We partner with independent community pharmacies first, because your neighborhood pharmacist is a real clinician you can talk to, and every local fill keeps dollars in your community instead of flowing to a national chain.
Many of our pharmacy partners offer same-day local pickup. Where available, shipping is offered through the pharmacy directly. Pharmacy fees are separate from the PrescriberNow visit fee and may be covered by your insurance or a discount card depending on the medication.
By the numbers
The metrics that matter for patients who need care, not waiting.
Conditions we treat
Common, well-defined conditions where asynchronous telehealth is clinically appropriate. We do not treat every condition, and we will tell you upfront if yours requires in-person care.
Common questions
Is PrescriberNow available in my state?
Yes, in a growing number of U.S. states. We maintain a network of state-licensed providers and will match you with a provider licensed in your state automatically when you complete intake.
What if my provider says no?
A declined visit means the provider determined a prescription was not clinically appropriate based on your intake. You receive a clear explanation of the decision and guidance on next steps. The evaluation fee covers the clinician's review and judgment — like any professional consultation, it applies whether or not a prescription results. This happens, and we consider it the system working correctly.
Can I use my insurance?
The PrescriberNow visit fee is a flat out-of-pocket charge. Pharmacy fills are separate and may be covered by your insurance or a discount card such as GoodRx. Check with your pharmacy partner after your prescription is issued.
Is my information secure?
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We operate under HIPAA and maintain signed Business Associate Agreements with every vendor that handles protected health information. We do not sell or share your data. See our Security & HIPAA page for details.
Can I pick any pharmacy?
Yes. While we route to partnered independent pharmacies by default, you can specify any licensed U.S. pharmacy — including national chains, compounding pharmacies, or your regular community pharmacist. E-prescriptions are sent electronically via SureScripts-compatible channels.
